One coin, four big exchanges, and the gap between them. One call.
Ask for a coin. Get back what Binance, Coinbase, Kraken and OKX are quoting for it right now, which is cheapest, which is dearest, and how far apart they are. The arithmetic is already done.
Those four are the default because a spread is only worth knowing about if you could actually act on it. Deep books, real withdrawals, coins that stay listed. A 3% gap on an exchange you can't get your money out of isn't an opportunity, it's a rumor. If you want different venues, name them and you'll get those instead.
XLM is all it takes.
Here's what comes back:

prices is the receipt — each exchange with the currency it actually quotes in. Binance prices XLM against USDT, not dollars. That number has been converted, and quoteCurrency is there so you can see which legs went through a stablecoin instead of pretending they didn't.
Then the arithmetic: cheapest, dearest, and the percentage between them.
Then the part that saves you writing any code at all. tradeSignal is a plain true/false. Wire a cell color to it, a beep, a badge, an if-statement — whatever you'd do with a boolean. You never have to compare two numbers or remember where your threshold was. signalTier is the same call in three states — noise, watch, signal — for when you want to see the near-misses coming. And note is the whole situation in one sentence you can print straight to a screen or a log.
The bands are posted, not hidden: under 0.3% is noise, 0.3%–0.5% is watch, above 0.5% trips the signal. Those are our thresholds, and your costs might not match them. spreadPercent is right there in the response — ignore our tiers and cut your own line any time you like.
One thing this one asks of you. CoinGecko provides this data free, on the condition that the credit stays visible to whoever ends up looking at it. It arrives in dataProvidedBy already worded correctly — you just have to render it somewhere your users can see, ideally linked. That's the whole obligation, and it's why this costs what it costs instead of what an exchange data license costs.
